2 Rooms Available in Charming 3BR Unit Triplex (Shared Housing)

Looking for a friendly, responsible and respectful roommate for a March 1 sublet with the option to sign on for a year lease starting September 1st.

This is a beautiful unit on the first floor of a triple-decker home in the artsy,... community-oriented neighborhood of Jamaica Plain in Boston, MA. The bedrooms are sunny and spacious with hardwood floors, either one or two large closets, depending on which room you choose, and two large windows. The kitchen is clean, spacious and beautiful with lots of storage and a kitchen island that separates the kitchen and living room. The living room is furnished but I would welcome your furniture/art additions.

There is a large private deck at the back of the house and a brick patio that is shared with all the tenants of the triple-decker. There is also a small private deck on the side of the house. It makes the unit excellent for both relaxing and entertaining.

There is a coin-op washer and dryer in the basement shared by all three units, and modest storage in the basement. The unit is walking distance to the Forest Hills T stop, and roughly a block away from the 39 bus. Only street parking is available, unfortunately, but no permit is required. The unit is in a safe, quiet, diverse neighborhood close to downtown Jamaica Plain (JP Centre,) the Arnold Arboretum, Jamaica Pond, and running/bike trails. Close to the Longwood Medical area also.

Both rooms are roughly the same size (120 ft.²) but one of the rooms has two closets and the other only one, thus the difference in price ($1,300 vs. $1,350.) The lease is a sublet to the end of August, but prospective tenants who are willing to commit to signing a year lease immediately are preferred. We will consider sublets, however.

Heat is NOT included in the rent. The utility bills are roughly $60 a month (electric/gas and Wi-Fi.)

I am the only other tenant in the unit, and have lived here since November 2024. I enjoy socializing with my roommates, if they're open to it, and even roommate outings if you're game but I'm quiet, tidy and respectful. There is a weekly chore rotation, and keeping the common areas neat is a must.

Lastly, I have a 2 y.o. pet bunny that loves people, but, for the safety of my pet, only owners of well-trained dogs, (I'll insist on meeting the pup ahead of time!) or small animals will be considered. No cats please.
