Stunning Bohemian home in the heart of Davis Sq.

Our artsy home is perfect for your visit to Boston. You're steps from vibrant Davis Square, offering groceries, restaurants, movies, and more. You can walk, take the subway, commuter rail or bike to get to universities and destinations across the... city.

LOCATION

Davis Sq. is one of the top destination neighborhoods in the Boston area. Our house is a short walk from the MBTA Red Line and Green Line. Irving street is full of residential homes, but just around the corner are all the commercial services you could want.

The Davis Sq. area is lively in summer and fall. Walk out your door to arts festivals, street bands, Irish pubs, evening public movies, and the Irving Street annual block party. You can walk to a movie theatre, a huge variety of delicious restaurants, multiple grocery stores, a butcher, and have a fresh pasta and wine store at the end of the street.

Have kids? Our house is minutes from parks, playgrounds, a bike path, basketball court, tennis courts, and more to keep them entertained. A short bike ride up the separated bike path gets you to a free swimming pool and larger green spaces. There are three local public schools within walking distance.

THE HOUSE

You'll be renting three stories with custom art and colorful walls, with traditional wood floors and stained glass installed in almost every room. The first floor is an open concept kitchen, living room, and dining room. The large central island is a multi-purpose butcher block and anchors a curved feature wall. Just past a bathroom with a shower, the cozy library houses the TV, and can be curtained off for guests. The second floor holds the master bedroom, full bath, laundry, and an overflow closet area for your clothes. The full bath includes a heated floor and talavera tiles throughout. Step out the door to the open-air second floor porch, which feels like you're in a treehouse. The third floor hosts the two kids’ bedrooms and a half bath, perfect for someone to have their own space. A cushioned built-in seat is just under a skylight, creating another ideal reading nook.

The yard is full of art, including mosaic and steel sculptures, and people in the neighborhood recognize the house by the mosaic lizard climbing down the side of the front steps.

Outside you'll find a number of features to make your stay easier. The driveway is right next to the house, so you don’t have to worry about parking tickets or street cleaning. Walk up the driveway, or out the side door, and you'll have access to a large stone-paved patio with table, grill, and pergola with two swinging chairs. Three raised beds, and a number of other small planting areas hold a diversity of pollinators and other greenery.
